Well, this is what has kept me out of trouble during the last throws of Summer and I think I may have got the timing just about right. Early mornings are taking on quite an Autumnal air now, although not yet cool enough for jackets, coats or thick jumpers even. By midday, the temperature is back up to a healthy late Summer heat and yet another reason why this easy to put on/take off knit is perfect.
I love it. I also love that Featherweight gave me the opportunity to try Quince & Co's yarn, for which I made a pilgrimage to Loop when we were in London during July. This yarn is very nice, let me tell you and I'm also quite pleased with myself for managing to knit a colour, albeit it one I've already turned to recently. Doh! A few thoughts and more pics of my Featherweight is on Ravelry, right here.
The children are back to their first full week of school (all well so far, touch wood), the house is pretty much sorted aside from wall space needing pictures and storage to be thought through for all my fabrics. Crikey, there's a task and a half, there is SO much of it, it's crazy. There is also sewing to be done. Ooh, how I love this time of year!
So, that's pretty much my agenda .. what's on yours?
It's lovely and I adore the colour you have chosen. Like how your little book too is in the same shade!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I've had a wonderful time catching up on what you've been making. This colour is my favourite and my best and I love the pure simplicity of this design. Absolutely exquisite.
ReplyDeletei love my featherweight, too.....dreaming of cool enough temps, though to wear it!!! love your color....looks fabulous with your dress!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful, simple but elegant cardigan. Love the colour too, not too shouty but more of a statement than blue or grey (which is what I usually wear).
ReplyDeletetruly gorgeous. feeling autumnal here, although not reaching nice midday temperatures sadly..........
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Kate and I love the shade, definitely a favourite of mine! :) Beautifully styled photos too!!

beautiful color and it fits fabulously!!! I've made that sweater pattern three times and could make it again and again and again.
ReplyDeleteYour styling of your knits is always impeccable. Which is a good thing considering how deserving that beautiful knit is.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely, and perfect with that dress. And as Andi says ... you style things impeccably. No idea what's on my agenda ... I'm feeling a little lost in the long grass at the moment.
ReplyDeleteToo beautiful indeed Kate, your talent for knitting never ceases to amaze me. Its all of a sudden got nippy here too, I have goosebumps after not having them for quite some time. I am trying my best to stick to Wip's and to finish my scrappy cardigan before real Autumn sets in xxx Penny
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photoshoot Kate. Everything you make is stunning.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the kiddos are settling in and all is good on the home front. We will be wearing cardis and tights as soon as this unexpected heat wave passes (it was over 30 degrees in Toronto today).
