ReplyDeleteBig sigh on the snow front - I'd love snow for Christmas....just once - while I'm still young enough to act like a big kid and enjoy it.

ReplyDeleteOh dear, poor you Kate. I remember the first time Alice gave me this very same present it horrified me because I had never had them in my childhood and to get them in my mid-30's freaked me out :o) it didn't take long for me to get used to how to deal with them!

ReplyDeleteOh my friend...I was driving in it today...what a scare. I had to drive to the airport and the roads were beyond dangerous. I think I have aged 10 years today! It is so pretty if you can stay home and enjoy.

Oh I am so so sorry, we went through that in October. I took my girls to a special salon to get rid of them, highly recommend it, combed out every single strand, sigh....

ReplyDeleteOh Kate, I feel for you! What a crummy 'present'. My niece gave them to me one year, and it was a bit of a nightmare. I became a tea tree oil freak and added it to everything (shampoo, sprayed beds with it, etc). I hope they clear up quickly for you:)

Nits? If you can bear some advice from me (my eldest daughter was for ever getting nits until her tenth birthday which is weird as my son has never had them) I would suggest you wash your hair normally, slap loads of conditioner on and comb and comb and comb your hair with a tissue at hand to bin the culprits. Do this every day for five days and I guarantee you will get rid of them. The lotions never seemed to work for us but that's my personal opinion. Lavander oil also works behind the ears helps deter future nits!
Perhaps you can get your daughter to comb your hair as penance? ;-)

say it isnt so! we got nits for christmas one year, and it led to LOTS of family time with me picking every last one out every night for 3 weeks. merry christmas despite it all.
